About

Creating art can give a person an indescribable joie de vivre, and my hope is to inspire a welcoming sense of wonder and optimism.
Working in oil and acrylic mediums, I build subtle layers of familiar subjects from nature, and mingle them with unexpected shapes and color. The objective is to encourage the viewer to explore an enigmatic but restorative place, where things might feel familiar and new at the same time.
My background includes fine art, graphic design and marketing, but I also seek to understand interior design trends and principles to help inform my approach and aesthetic for current home and business owners.

Commissions/Custom Work

I love the collaborative process and creating something that is truly unique and meaningful for others. It is one of the most fun and rewarding ways to create art.
To fully understand your vision and make sure it's just right for your space, I make digital sketches first before putting paint to canvas.
Cost may vary depending on subject complexity and materials used, but as a rule of thumb, my rate is $1.30 per square inch.
Here's an example of a digital piece (top right) used as a source for an oil painting (bottom left) and a slightly tinted green horizon line added for color nuance.

For more information on developing a custom piece, please send an email to av@angelinavivant.com, or fill out the form in the Contact section of this website.
